BoingBoing comments

Iv had BoingBoing in my RSS feed for some time now. I have in the last few weeks started trying to make comments on there stories. Important word there being "trying" as ever comment I have submitted never makes it past the editor. So I am now going to post the comments I make to BoingBoing here as well.

The following comment is in response to this post from Cory Doctorow. I find the comments that have bee approved are pretty funny to say the least.

------------------------------

Sigh once again boingboing missing the economics of the situation. If you have a deficit in you budget guess what... you need to find that money some where. If non essential services and personnel go in to filling that void then go crazy.

If this was you that wasn't making enough money to pay your bills well you have 2 options make more money ( Tax Hike ) or dont spend money on things you don't need to survive. Its a joke when people start pointing fingers and going you shouldn't do that.. what because expanding government will make the problem better?! Yeh ok then.

And you are happy to have government tell private business's what to do with their profits. Banks that the UK treasury has no holdings in at all!! Come on you are calling for a totalitarian government here its ridiculous. Getting the banks that they do have a stake in to stop giving out bonuses is hard enough.

Lets have look at how you wright about it. “even the ones (banks) that are owned by the taxpayer” WHAT?? First issue with this statement is you flippantly address the issue of the banks that were not bailed out, of course they should stop giving bonuses. You are having a laugh right??
The 2nd issue with the quote is that me as a tax payer does not directly own a stake in the bailed out banks. Just because my money was stolen from me by the UK treasury and then used to buy shares in UK banks does not mean that I own those shares.

Over simplification and jumping to conclusions a journalist makes not.

No more money for students. SOCIALISTS.. SOCIALISTS... SOCIALISTS.. HOOOO!!!!!

I dont know why Im bothering to wright another post on this but here I go again.

The speaker in the above video Barnaby Raine has been getting little bit of press coverage thanks to this video. I came across this video when checking my RSS reader Boingboing a US based blog had posted it.

Yes he's a hell of a speaker but most likely due to some training, his speaking style is so much like Blair its uncanny. Ignoring his affiliations to other extremist groups here in the uk it look like another privileged kid aiming at becoming an MP. Wont be surprised if he ends up in the labour party.

Its sad these kids cant see the system is broken and that working in side it isn't the answer.

student protest

I wrote a post on this but didn't post it. That is if for the very fact that Im so torn in what to think of it all. When I watch videos like the one bellow (came to my attention thanks to The UK Libertarian blog) I find my self rooting for the students. With the police being the military styled pawns of our government, beating on the students with there truncheons and charging them with horses its horrific what they are doing to UK citizens.

But then I remember what the students are baying for, the money that you and I worked hard for. So they can pay for there education and beer.

It shouldn't be students rioting in the streets it should be every one! Baying for the blood of of our monarchy and government. No violence isn't the answer, nor harsh words on the internet. We have the right and moral obligation to stand and defend our self's, we the people need to take action.

Hitchens VS Blair

Well that was an interesting watch, Blair getting smacked up side the head and being told he's a silly boy. It was an unfair match-up I don't think there is any worse a choice than Tony Blair to stand up for monotheism, no matter what brand it is. Hitchens as always come out all guns blazing, Tho all he needed was one bullet and half a gun to drop Blair.

After watching this I wounder how Blair managed to run our country, more to the point how anyone could take him seriously on anything after this. If he puts this much effort in to philanthropy its no wounder we followed Bush in to Iraq/Afghanistan, the blind leading the blind.

As was talked about in the comments on the videos above this was a great way for Blair to end his career in debating. It also shines a light on the type of people that are in the UK government, Blair who is supposed to be good at this, it being large part of his old job at number 10. Then you have Hutchen's a journalist who clearly knows the subject, granted he has been at this much longer than Blair but I have a feeling Blair will never be able to compete with him.

Religion is a dieing beast if it wasn't for schools quashing kids ability to think critically, and also faith schools, it would be a thing of the past. Then maybe we could get on with making things better. Like a flat tax and some Austrian economics, how about no tax and no government!
